The NOVA School of Science and Technology (NOVA FCT) will host the next edition of the Bridge Talks series, titled Fusion: Bridging Art, Science, and Technology, on October 15, 2024. Taking place at the Caparica Campus, this interdisciplinary event will explore the growing convergence of art, science, and technology in shaping modern society.
Keynote speakers include Inês de Medeiros, Mayor of Almada, José Júlio Alferes, Director of NOVA FCT, and Robert Willey, artist and professor at NOVA FCT. The event will feature panel discussions on topics such as the role of academia in connecting creativity and knowledge, the societal impact of ArtTech, and how the fusion of science and technology with art is influencing business and culture.
A highlight of the event will be a special session titled Mind Meets Machine: A Technological Journey into the Unseen, led by João Blümel, a mentalist and VR/AR/AI performer. This interactive experience promises an immersive exploration of the intersection between mind and technology.
The Bridge Talks series, a flagship initiative of NOVA FCT, fosters dialogue across disciplines and industries, promoting collaboration that leads to disruptive innovation.
