Being a Product Owner means turning strategy into products and products into value. More than managing a Product Backlog, it involves setting priorities, guiding decisions, and ensuring that the team’s work meets customer needs and organizational goals.
The Professional Scrum Product Owner™ (PSPO) is a practical training course designed to develop the essential skills needed to excel in this role. Throughout the course, you will explore key topics such as product vision and the Product Goal, Product Backlog management and refinement, releases and forecasting, value measurement, and effective communication with stakeholders, customers, and the Scrum Team.
With a strong focus on practical application, this training prepares you to put your knowledge into practice in your professional context. This is an official training course by Scrum.org, founded by Ken Schwaber, co-creator of Scrum, and includes one attempt at the Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) assessment.
The certification is internationally recognized and does not expire. If you do not achieve the required passing score on your first attempt, taken within 14 days of completing the course, you will be entitled to a second attempt at no additional cost.
The Professional Scrum Product Owner™ (PSPO) is a practical, activity-based training course in which participants explore Professional Scrum and develop an understanding of the critical role the Product Owner plays within the Scrum Team.
There are many myths and misconceptions about the Product Owner role. However, its responsibilities go far beyond managing the Product Backlog and writing User Stories. The Product Owner plays a central role in connecting business strategy with product execution and helping the Scrum Team create valuable products.
Throughout this training, participants develop and strengthen their knowledge of the Scrum framework and the responsibilities of a Product Owner through instruction and team-based exercises.
They learn techniques to help them overcome everyday challenges, as well as better ways to collaborate with their organization, stakeholders, customers, and team to maximize product value.
During the course, participants explore a range of Product Ownership practices that they can apply immediately in their professional environment, and are also introduced to Agile Product Management.
Throughout the course, participants develop the essential skills needed to take on the Product Owner role, connecting business strategy with product execution and enabling the continuous delivery of value.
