In a changing and digital world, when many companies offer similar products and services with the same technologies, the strategic use of data to create high-performance products, services and business processes is one of the last dimensions of differentiation and optimisation.
Managers have more and more information, data of a quantitative and qualitative nature, and they must know how to manipulate and analyse it to support decision making, operations, risk management and strategy in an uncertain and risky environment going beyond digital transformation, leveraging on AI, business intelligence and new methodologies and systems.
Designed by AESE in partnership with FCT NOVA and SAP, this program has a faculty with extensive professional experience in some of the largest national companies, particularly in implementing Analytics and AI in core activities.
Help senior leaders effectively manage and seize opportunities in the new environment of advanced analytics. Participants will gain a working knowledge of data science, enabling them to identify the challenges that analytics and artificial intelligence can solve. It will also help them make the most effective investments in people, data, systems, culture and organizational structure.

PhD in Computational Statistics from the University of Naples (Italy), Francesco professional and academic experience focuses on Analytics and Data Science.
He is Professor of Commercial and Marketing Policy at AESE Business School and of Data Mining and Business Intelligence Applications at Universidade Lusófona.
Franceso started working in the market research sector through consultancy in the financial sector in Portugal.
He worked for an analytical software company in the UK, where he was responsible for the development of analytical projects, in Europe, Middle East and Africa, passing by clients such as: Nestlé, h&m, Adidas, Tesco, among others.
He worked successively in Fidelidade, as head of Analytics and Data Science and is currently responsible for Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics at EDP Comercial.
Associated Professor at AESE
Agostinho Abrunhosa holds a degree in Business Management and Organization from ISEG – Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão and has developed his professional activity in Information Systems.
He completed the 3rd AESE / IESE Executive MBA in 2005. Since 2007, he has been a professor in the Operations, Technology and Innovation Area at AESE, where he has taught classes in several executive programs and in the Executive MBA.
He is PhD candidate of Glasgow University. Collaborates with AESE since 1986, in view of the various functional areas. He is currently General Secretary and Member of the Board of Directors of AESE.
Throughout his professional class as a consultant in several projects of implementation of information systems.
Agostinho complemented his training base in a variety of ways in Negotiation, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), Project Management and Balanced Scorecard.
He is the author of several cases in the areas of operations and technology.
