Telmo Santos

Associated Professor with Habilitation

and Vice-Director at UNIDEMI

 

Telmo G. Santos, PhD in Mechanical Engineering, is Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (DEMI) of NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA) and member of the Faculty Council.

He is the coordinator of the PhD program of Mechanical Engineering at FCT NOVA and the head of the group Advanced Manufacturing of DEMI.

Telmo is researcher and Vice-Director of UNIDEMI and author of about 90 international scientific publications, with main expertise in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Advanced Manufacturing, including additive manufacturing/3D printing, hybrid processes, and solid-state FSW/P.

In 2012 he created the NOVA NDT Lab and has been coordinating several R&D projects with national and international companies.

He is Vice-President of the NDT Sectorial Forum at RELACRE, Chairperson of the 13th European Conference of Non-Destructive Testing (ECNDT 2022), and Associate Editor of the Journal Measurement.
