Luís Baltazar

Associate Professor at NOVA FCT

He is a Civil Engineer and holds a PhD in Civil Engineering in the speciality of Construction Sciences.

He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at NOVA School of Science and Technology (NOVA FCT) and a researcher in the Soft and Bio-functional Materials Group at the Materials Research Centre (CENIMAT|i3N).

He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Department of Civil Engineering at NOVA FCT and is the coordinator of the Master’s programme in Building Rehabilitation at NOVA FCT.

His main research interests focus on the rheology of building materials, the conservation and rehabilitation of buildings (with a focus on the hygrothermal performance of buildings) and eco-sustainable building materials. In the last ten years he has published more than 45 scientific documents including journal articles, book chapters and scientific communications, cited more than 500 times.
