Founder and CEO of the Centro de Competência em Economia Azul (C2EA)
Álvaro Sardinha is an international trainer and consultant, specializing in blue economy and sustainable and regenerative development. He is the founder and CEO of the Center of Excellence in Blue Economy (C2EA).
He holds a Master’s degree in Law and Economics of the Sea: Ocean Governance, with merit, from the Nova School of Law at NOVA University Lisbon (FDUNL). He also completed a postgraduate degree in Strategic Digital Communication at the University of Lisbon, and another in Sustainable Strategies for Tourism and Hospitality at the Faculty of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA FCT). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Engineering (ENIDH).
His recent work includes authorship of the INOVSEA Action Plan (Innovation and Competitiveness in the Blue Economy of the Coastal Regions of Alto Minho and Baixo Mondego); the Innovation and Training Strategy in Ocean Energy and Technologies; and collaboration on projects developed in Angola, Brazil, and Timor-Leste.
He has extensive professional and entrepreneurial experience and is the founder and coordinator of blue economy development events – the Blue Careers and Employment Fair and FINA – Blue Innovation and Business Fair.
