Overview

The Post-Graduate Program in CyberSecurity and Corporate Resilience is a comprehensive course designed to empower professionals in protecting against cyber threats and ensuring business continuity. The course covers modern and essential topics such as security in cloud environments, data privacy, artificial intelligence in threat detection, and the importance of zero trust architecture. In addition, emerging topics such as security in IoT (Internet of Things) are explored.

Course content
The Postgraduate Program in CyberSecurity and Corporate Resilience is a comprehensive and innovative program designed to prepare professionals to face challenges and seize opportunities in the field of cybersecurity. This course provides a solid foundation in cybersecurity concepts and corporate resilience, equipping participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to protect their organizations’ digital assets and ensure business continuity.

With a duration of 6 months and a total of 90 hours, distributed in carefully selected curricular units. These units combine theoretical and practical classes, case studies, webinars, and project interactions, providing comprehensive and applied learning. Classes are taught in a face-to-face and/or online format, with the necessary flexibility for working professionals.

Throughout the Postgraduate Program, participants will be able to apply the knowledge acquired to develop a project. This project is accompanied throughout the PG in a mentoring format, with the aim of presenting it at the end to a jury panel.

PhD student in Global Management, Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management. Degree in Management Informatics. He is currently Project Management Advisor in ConceptChange, was Co-founder of Lisbon Accelerator, Coordinator and University Professor of various study cycles.

He is a guest speaker at various events on topics related to Information Security, Change Management and Digital Transformation. He is a guest lecturer on Project Management at the University of LjUBLjANA in Slovenia, on the MBA with triple accreditation (EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA).

He has worked with Novabase, Rumos Formação, Caixa Geral de Depósitos and Vodafone Portugal. Member of the technical committee for the translation and transposition of ISO 27001. He has coordinated several study cycles, including Executive Masters and Postgraduate Courses. He was a member of the Pedagogical Council in Universidade Europeia. He was responsible for the Student Services Department at Laureate International Universities in Portugal, reporting directly to the CEO. He was also Director of Executive Training at Laureate International Universities in Portugal.

Associate Professor at NOVA FCT

Associate Professor at NOVA FCT,  Nova School of Sciences and Technology, NOVA FCT.  A NOVA FCT affiliated faculty member at Department of Computer Science  and an integrated research member at NOVA LINCS Research Lab – Nova Laboratory of Informatics and Computer Science, a Research Center hosted at NOVA FCT.

Currently a member of the ACM, ACM – SIGSAC, ACM/Eurosys, IEEE, EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) and ISOC PT (Internet Society Portuguese Chapter), where he served in the Board of Directors in the period between 2016 and 2020.

His research interests are focused on dependability, security and privacy solutions for computer systems and networks, and for large-scale distributed systems and applications. His research orientation is closely alligned with the strategic plan of NOVA LINCS, and the current ongoing research goals of the Computer Systems Research Group.
