Overview

The Postgraduation LEADING TOURISM & HOSPITALITY Program is an innovative offering with a holistic and interdisciplinary vision, drawing on diverse areas of knowledge. It brings together the collaboration of several NOVA Schools and a distinguished faculty with proven experience in the tourism sector. This holistic and interdisciplinary approach to education is essential to address the complex challenges facing the Tourism and Hospitality industry today, providing the sector, academia, and students with the assurance of a promising future.

This program aims to equip professionals with the tools needed to enhance Portugal’s prestige in tourism development and innovation, and to contribute to positioning the country as a leading tourism destination of excellence.

Course content

In response to the sector’s resource constraints, this program offers a flexible and diverse learning format, combining in-person and online sessions to accommodate different participant profiles. Classes are held during after-work hours, allowing professionals to balance their studies with their careers.

The relevance and dynamism of the topics addressed, along with the program’s strong emphasis on connecting theory to real-world practice, are hallmarks that place NOVA’s executive education programs at the forefront of the field.

 

The Postgraduate Program awards a total of 40 ECTS and includes content aligned with priority areas identified by stakeholders in the Tourism & Hospitality sector:

After working for more than 20 years in the corporate world, she founded two brands in the consultancy field – Connect You and N Lab- to leverage her experience in managing large multidisciplinary teams.

She recently accepted the challenge of being Director of the ExecutiveEducation at NOVA FCT, having worked for the last 2 years as President of the Faculty Council of this same faculty.

Passionate about team development and business strategy, Nélia has an agile mindset with a strong focus on “results orientated”. She is characterised by being a “fast thinker” and an inclusive leader.

Nélia has over 20 years of solid experience in Global Management of complex multicultural and multidisciplinary projects, with extensive experience of team leadership, multitasking and dynamic multicultural skills.
