Artificial Intelligence Course

The Artificial Intelligence Course integrated into the Samsung Innovation Campus and taught at NOVA FCT is a 16-week program focused on building fundamental AI skills. Here, you will learn Artificial Intelligence and Modeling based on a solid foundation of Mathematics, including probability, statistics, and linear algebra. The course will help you experience Machine Learning tools and solve real-world problems through various practical exercises. You will gain an understanding and hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and communication of the results of an AI project.

Who should participate in this program?

Anyone interested in pursuing a career in AI. Participants should have prior experience with Python programming language and a basic understanding of statistics.

What will the program look like?

  • In-person, at NOVA FCT’s Caparica Campus, starting starting 29 October 2024;
  • 3 hours per day, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM,  two times per week Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday depending on the batch;
  • Final project, to be carried out during the month of January and February, in groups of 3 to 4 students (8 weeks);
  • Exercises for practice;
  • Quizzes to track progress in the curriculum;
  • Mentorship and guidance during the capstone project;
  • During the project phase, there are no classes, but students can meet with instructors for support and clarification of project-related questions.
