She has developed optimization models to solve practical problems in logistics management, such as waste collection routing, supply chain planning and design, facility location, and social care logistics.<\/p>\n<p>She holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and Industrial Management from the Technical University of Lisbon, where she addressed the design and planning of closed-loop supply chains.
