He serves on the Executive Board of UNIDEMI \u2013 the Research and Development Unit in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, which is part of the Associate Laboratory of Intelligent Systems (LASI) \u2013 and leads the Sustainable and Digital Factories &amp; Services research group.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">His research focuses on several areas, including sustainable and digital manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, industrial symbiosis, circular economy, life cycle assessment, additive manufacturing, and quality control. He is the author or co-author of more than 200 indexed scientific publications and has established an extensive network of collaborations with international universities and industrial partners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">He has participated in and coordinated national and European applied research projects, including initiatives related to maritime logistics, industrial sustainability, and the environmental, economic, and social assessment of additive manufacturing processes. He previously served as Coordinator of the Master&#8217;s Programme in Maritime Logistics and of the international postgraduate programme <em>Maritime Logistics Business and Operations<\/em>, both taught in English.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">He also acts as an expert evaluator for several international research funding agencies, including the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), the Dutch Research Council (NWO), the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ), and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
