Artificial Intelligence Course

The Artificial Intelligence Course integrated in the Samsung Innovation Campus and taught at NOVA FCT, is a 16-week course that focuses on building fundamental AI skills. Here, you will learn Artificial Intelligence and Modelling on a concrete foundation of Mathematics, including probability, statistics and linear algebra. The course will help you experiment with Machine Learning tools and solve real problems through various hands-on exercises. You will gain an understanding and practical experience of the process of designing, implementing and communicating the results of an AI project.

Who should participate in this programme?

Anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in AI. Students should have previous experience in Python programming language and a basic understanding of statistics.

What will the programme be like?

– Face-to-face, at NOVA FCT Caparica Campus, for 16 weeks, starting 11 September 2023;
– 3 hours per day, between 17h30 and 20h30, from Monday to Thursday;
– Final project, to be carried out during the month of December, in groups of 2 to 3 students (4 weeks);
– Exercises to practise;
– Quizzes to progress in the curriculum;
– Mentoring and follow-up during the capstone project.

* During the course of the project there are no classes, however students can meet with the teachers for follow-up and clarification of doubts related to the project.
